Shipping

All furniture comes with free local delivery and setup within the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada. The current boundary for service starts in Metro Vancouver and ends in Chilliwack. For local regions extending from this area please contact me for options. Long distance shipping outside of this area is currently by special request only and limited to Canada and the USA. These requests will be quoted and billed separately at a later date as well as be subject to approval on a case by case basis. Please contact Blackwood Studio for more info.

Homeware and apparel ships anywhere in Canada and the USA for $9.95 CAD flat rate.

Item packaging must be inspected at the time of delivery for any possible damages during shipping. This may indicate a damaged product. For large deliveries, please denote any damage on the bill of lading or delivery document and reject delivery if there's extensive damage. Taking photos is also a good way to prove damages upon receipt. A signed delivery document confirms the order was delivered as ordered and in acceptable condition.  Any transit damage that is reported without notation on the document may preclude a damage claim. If you receive a damaged item, please reach out to Blackwood Studio within 48 hours of receiving. 

Returns

Blackwood cannot offer any returns on furniture items as they are made to order. Please contact info@blackwood-studio.ca if you have any issues or questions.

Homeware and apparel may be returned within 30 days of delivery at the customers expense. A return request MUST be submitted within this time frame. Items must be returned in their original condition, otherwise the purchase price may be forfeit. A refund will not be issued until the item or items have been received and inspected by Blackwood Studio.

Warranty

Furniture: 3 year

Homeware: 1 year

Apparel: Not covered

Blackwood Studio takes pride in the craftsmanship and quality of its pieces. I understand that investing in expensive pieces is a significant decision, and I want to assure all customers that their purchases are protected. That is why I offer a comprehensive 3-year warranty on all of my furniture. Homeware comes with a 1 year warranty. Apparel is not covered under any warranty but is returnable.

If something should arise outside of the warranty period, please don't hesitate to get in touch.  Once a customer, always a customer, and something could still be done.

Here are the key features of the 1-year homeware and 3-year furniture warranties:

  1. Coverage: The warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship that may arise during normal residential use of the furniture. This includes issues such as faulty joints, manufacturing flaws, or abnormal finish issues. This warranty does not extend apparel.  
  2. Duration: The warranty is valid for a period of 1 or 3 years from the date of purchase and only valid for the original purchaser of the product.
  3. Repair or Replacement: In the event that a covered defect is identified and agreed upon, I will either repair or replace the affected furniture piece, or section, free of charge. My goal is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
  4. Conditions: To be eligible for warranty service, the furniture must have been used and maintained in accordance with the care instructions. Any modifications or alterations made to the furniture without authorization will void the warranty.
  5. Exclusions: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or any damage caused by improper handling or transportation.

It's recommend that you retain your purchase receipt, as it will serve as proof of your warranty coverage. If you encounter any issues with your furniture during the warranty period, please contact Blackwood Studio.
