Blackened (ebonized) Red Oak
This wood option is created by applying a black stain over natural red oak, followed by a clear coat of satin polyurethane to protect the colour. Choosing to stain rather than paint the wood allows the grain and texture to really show through. The end result is a sleek and modern aesthetic that enhances the wood's natural appearance while providing a bold and dark finish. Red Oak is grown sustainably in the Eastern half of Canada and the USA.
Exposure to UV will lighten this finish over time.
